From this weekend there will be live music every Saturday at The Night Owl. We launch with style with the incredible Call Me Unique and her band this Saturday 10th December.
Call Me Unique is an acclaimed singer-songwriter heavily influenced by jazz, soul, and the art of jazz scat-singing.
The Birmingham-based artist combines these sounds with hip-hop, future beats, sweet melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, for a truly unique and powerful performance.
Described as a blend of Ed Sheeran in loop pedal mode and classic Ella Fitzgerald along with sounds drawn from Lisa Lopes and Lauren Hill, Call Me Unique has had support from BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing and has opened for global stars including Rihanna, Beyonce, Jessie J, and Julian Marley.
Unique’s first EP, Urban Gypsy, showcased her subtle guitar work and breathtaking vocals to an ever growing international supporters, and numerous collaborations with house producers, rap vocalists and a diverse range of bands from Birmingham to Budapest have led to acclaim from industry and fans alike.
Saturday 10th December, Call Me Unique launches the brand new stage.
